Kathleen Dehmer grew up in Buffalo, Minnesota (USA) and lived there until her graduation from Buffalo High School where she was active on sports teams and in community service activities. During her university education she spent time in California, India and Minnesota and graduated with a degree in Religion.

After a year of working in human rights advocacy, Kathleen came to the University of Haifa to pursue a Masters degree from the Peace and Conflict Management program.
